..if you are living an unbalanced lifestyle and sacrifice other aspects of your life for a singular (and often short-sighted) view of success, it will likely harm you AND the people around you.

The best athletes, salespeople, entrepreneurs and so on, don’t compete with others as much as they compete with themselves. Make yourself your greatest competition.

Big night out in Taipei Taiwan

Tina, Joan & Joy

Nic looking pretty happy

Junk w’ Hong Kong skyline in view

Residential hillside downtown Hong Kong

View off of Joy & George’s deck – wish we had taken a pic’ together … next time

Jackie & I … catchin’ up

Hong Kong from Kowloon side… IWF Bldg. is one of tallest in the world. Hong Kong has a couple in the top 10, but better yet it has some of the most contemporary ’scraper architecture you’ll ever see. At least, that is, until you see Beijing… I guess.

Taipei 101 in Taiwan… now the 2nd tallest in the world. Elevator gets you up top in approximately 35 seconds, not a sound, bump or an ear pop either. OK this beginning to look like large envy or whatever… it is what it is. I enjoyed this building, it’s a much more interesting experience than WTC or ESB in NYC ever was.

Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Taipei Taiwan [wife educated in Summit NJ]

Exporting some know how to Nic’, young phenom. He scored 1st bucket in his 1st game the next day too. What he could do if I worked with him regularly :-)

And while that’s all fun, what really gets a 6′2 210 motivated to sit for an 18 hour flight? JT, who hasn’t changed a bit since the night we met 15 years ago

Can’t Get Enough Rincon PR
Posted by frek on February 14, 2009
Pics coming… but the day before we left Spring Lake NJ the beach was snow covered.
For me, there was a several year break in the Rincon PR action, but because I have been doing surf- travel with this gang for 20 years I was pretty excited. I think it’s fair to say, we all still love Rincon PR:
Mike Yonkowski @ JFK en route
Tom Trerotola @ JFK en route
John Marvosa @ JFK en route
Normally, our arrival is early in the AM
Check Spots in Aguadilla on way out to Rincon

Gas Chambers, look closely upper right and you’ll see one of the best barrels in the Caribean

CrashBoats

Too much wind in the hair {Treretola, Marvosa}?

Domes from the house we rented
Ian Lecluerq
Chris McCagg, on a fun shape?

40 years to get to to the Magic Kingdom, but thanks to my buddy Scott Forcino I’ve now been …
Electric Light Parade @ midnight!

Magic Kingdom- mostly a big mall full of Disney schtuff

Pirates of the Caribean- they try and sell you hats, coffee, cups and other schtuff … still, what a place!

Big Day – 01*20*09
Posted by frek on January 21, 2009
I want to believe this guy is going to do what’s best for our country, rather than himself.
Right now, I’m buying into Obama …
Must admit I’m frustrated, if not angry, with what’s gone on. Our Gov’ and our Financial Power Houses, who I once held in such high regard, are not necesarily better than those of other countries. I thought they were in touch with the people, that they had honor and that there were controls in place to protect our standard of life. Clearly, even the US is not safe from bad eggs; however, I choose to hold out hope.
I believe in the US!
